The Microbiome Movement was founded in 2016, when Alexander Puttick and his colleagues from Hanson Wade in London decided to create a place where startups, the pharmaceutical industry as well as leading academics could meet to discuss the opportunities of therapeutic developments associated with the microbiome. Since then, the movement has expanded in the USA and in Asia.
