Fabio Pace

Fabio Pace is an Italian gastroenterologist known for his work on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastrointestinal motility and functional GI disorders, and the emerging field of psychogastroenterology. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Palermo (1979) and specialized in Digestive Diseases in the same university (1983), before gaining clinical and research experience abroad, including periods in Zurich and Johannesburg. Since 2010 he has served as Director of the Gastroenterology Unit at the “Bolognini” Hospital in Seriate (Bergamo), and he has held an academic appointment at the University of Milan since 2006. He has authored more than 200 scientific papers and written or co-written 14 books in gastroenterology, and he is active in several national and international scientific societies.
