Centro Sperimentale del Latte (CSL), part of Sacco System, was the first company in Italy to study Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) for human health. It was founded by Dr Leo Vesely in 1948 with a mission to improve maternal health and children’s nutrition.
After more than 70 years, CSL continues to focus on probiotic manufacturing, research and development for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical fields. Our know-how is not limited to LAB, but we can support our clients also on the development of Next-Generation probiotics (strict anaerobes).
With 3 facilities drug-GMP certified we can support companies in the development, process validation and commercial production of biotherapeutics and LBPs.
