ProDigest is a spin-off company from the University of Ghent that uses a technology called SHIME® (Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem) which recreates the physiology and microbiology of the entire gastrointestinal tract.
The platform evaluates the mechanism of action of different active components such as prebiotics, probiotics or drugs in different gastrointestinal areas.
