Lactobacillus plantarum LM2

Overview

Balance of the intestinal flora. It helps the normal function of the neuron system and psychological function. It also contributes to the normal cognitive function. L. plantarum LM2 and L. brevis Y1 produce, respectively, Acetylcholine (Ach) and Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), inhibitory neurotransmitter. It has an immunomodulating action, it helps reinforce the body’s natural defenses and rebalance the immune response.

They are deposited at the Laboratorium voor Microbiologie BCCM (Gent, Belgium). Deposit N°LMG P 30025.

Isolated from cow’s milk.

The microbial strain is not genetically modified and it is of natural origin (OMG Reg. (CE) 1829/2003 e 1830/2003).

Shelf-life raw material: 12 months when stored below -20°C or 6 months when stored below 8°C.
